William Aycock has devoted his entire life to protecting others. Throughout 18 years of law enforcement, he has been on the front lines of both physical and spiritual battles. His experiences as a Christian police officer are inspiring and eye-opening. It was these experiences that led William into a deep study of spiritual warfare and eventually to the topic of self-defense as a Christian. This biblically based study tackled the question of whether true followers of Jesus Christ should defend themselves when faced with a violent confrontation.

If you or your family were in imminent threat of bodily harm, would Jesus’ teachings allow you to use force against that person? If you were being assaulted during a robbery, would a true Christian defend himself? If a burglar broke into your home during a home invasion, can you defend yourself or your family and keep your Christianity?

These are tough questions. But these questions are becoming commonplace in a violent world of crime and sin. There are only two possible answers to these questions; yes or no. Fight back or turn the other cheek? Both answers have strong opposing support from religious leaders. But in today’s world of growing violence, you should know where you stand.

Would God Fight Back?
